Whenever I chance to be in an upmarket food store I check the cheese department for a French soft cheese - Peyrigoux. I could buy this most anywhere in the town where I used to live in Bavaria, but it doesn't seem to be exported to the USA.

This past weekend I was with my daughter in Richmond, and we were in several stores which were potential purveyors of Peyrigoux, but no dice.

My friends send me various foodstuffs from Germany, but somehow I don't think that a nice, big wedge of Peyrigoux is mailable. This is a pity . . .

Randy

I don't know Peyrigoux but I looked it up and the description is quite promising. Next stop at het Kaaspuntje I will definitely look for it. You made me all curious. And hungry. No, hungry I already was. Have been for quite some time, too.

The four holy things on this planet... coffee, cigars, chocolate, and cheese. :)

"Cheese Peak"? I wish I had one in my neighborhood . . . just what I need, a mountain of Kaas!

Coffee - check
Chocolate - check
Cheese - double check
Cigars - can't smoke any more

Chocolate milk! In 1983 I drank the best chocolate milk of my life in the basement of the Van Gogh museum. I visited again a few years ago but the chocolate milk was unavailable. Properly incorporating chocolate into milk is something of an art . . .

Did someone mention Danish?

Rotwein!

OK, now I'm hungry too . . . Randy

For my money (and waist line), there is nothing better than a good ole chocolate fudge cake. Man I could eat that until it was way past too much.
