The forum was down from about a quarter to six until somewhere in the middle of the night, dutch time. The hosting company suffered a DDoS attack. The other sites that they host for me were down, too. At some point the web server came back up, but the database server was still down.

It was down this morning as well. Last night, I first tried to sign on at 7:20 or so, and nothing but can't connects until right now.

I realized it could be fake. I'm not sure yet what I want to believe. At least the backup worked smoothly.

Yep - that was the evening here as of about 6 pm, until somewhere in the middle of the night.

Following their work on their support forum I more and more lean towards not buying the DDoS attack.

I know nothing of web servers and such, but can't help but feel if they were capable of getting their act together, they would have by now. Time will tell.

I think that vision about covers it, John. I have a couple of websites hosted by them, and a couple hosted by others. I have two that are with the company that hosted DijonStock until April. Those sites never give problems, well, no more than maybe one time a year.
