Yeah, Robbie and I got a pretty clean signal out of here in near to real time. What I'm hoping is that we can broadcast to many and use the forum for incoming if we can't get many on a two way communication.

We should be able to broadcast live webcam pics to several users simultaneously via msn.

David, how was dinner?

Not bad...just a quicky dinner because we've been working all day. Still have more to do. So much accomplished though. Pat's returning slowly to her normally good humor; daughter apologized for breaking the new refridgerator.

I really want to go paint the door frames...but I really feel like I've been beaten about the head and shoulders. Got to tough it out. There's always tomorrow night to sleep.

Be carefull David. DijonStock itself will be exhausting by itself.

I also want the hosts to celebrate DijonStock to the fullest.

(is this proper english... don't think so... is that bad? no... they'll get it). :D

I've come somewhat further in my investigation.

Broadcast of streaming video to multiple receivers is possible via msn, but the restriction lies in the bandwith... and (you would never have guessed this one) ... No sound!

I'm now looking into software named skype... this might do the trick. I'll keep you posted.

I think a webcam and a live java Blog of some sorts would be OK.

Don't use your precious time and energy on software that might just freeze Dave's machine ... Relax & enjoy belle France ...

I think so too.

I'm a bit scared to be a computer man for four days. We shouldn't make it too hard on ourselves. That's why I try to find out as much as I can before the big trip.

Being oral...I mean aural...more than visual, I would almost prefer a live Radio G'ish broadcast. Maybe not directly on Radio G...but how cool could that be?...but out of MSN. Video chews so much bandwidth and we could always post pictures with the digital camera.

OK so that would be NetMeeting.

Which hardly works.

In fact, never works.

Nah...I have come to detest Netmeeting. I was hoping we could have simultaneous listeners to MSN audio. Beside, I don't have a web cam.

Radio G can take 30 simultanious listeners in 'live' mode. But you'd need a good soundcard in that machine of yours ... but, in theory, it's possible 8)

Sorry, left my brain in reverse there. If I just get one good audio feed I can transmit that live via Radio G ... 8)

Well, I think that would be outstanding! I have a good card and 1Meg ADSL. I guess it's just a question of how do we get you the feed?

One open MSN audio connection to me (via Messenger), then through mysoundcard, one piece of chocolate cake and tea (or possibly a glass (one) of red burgundy) and, in theory, I should be able to re-broadcast that live ... via Radio G ...

Assuming I don't miss the connection between Paris Nord & Paris Gare de Lyon.

If I do...I get a later train and wont arrive in Dijon until 02:06 am
