Disaster struck the Robbie Household.

No cheese on the premises whatsoever. No rocquefort, no brie, edam, gouda, Leerdam... no nothing. Not a single slice.

Shops are closed... error cannot be corrected.

AAAAAAAAaaaaaa.....

So what you are saying is you’d settle for cheese wrapped in red wax?

Yes I figured it was. But just to see your refrigerator filled with red wax would be worth it.

I was at the grocery store the other day and saw some red wax Gouda - the sign even said "Red Wax Gouda." Why anyone would buy that rubber stuff when the Vlaaskas was sitting right next to it, I'll never know.

You buy it for the wax. Very useful for making drawers and sleds runners slide smoothly, lubricating zippers, waterproofing matches, easing sticky windows. . . . and so forth. In fact, here's a video on 40 uses for wax :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SFc6BT5ZsQ

As for the "cheese" that comes in the wax? I have no idea what you can do with that.

Thanks for the clarification, Carey. Of course, that begs the question as to why it's at the cheese counter and not in the aisle with the lights bulbs and tools. :D

I was reading that the current US administration has proposed a tariff on red wax cheese, to be implemented only if the producing country refuses to also supply white and blue waxed versions. And that all purveyors of these cheeses would then, by presidential proclamation, be required to display said cheeses patriotically, in the dairy aisle. And that CareyCorsen be appointed head of the RWR (RedWaxRecyle) program, whose mandate will be expanded to include the Blue and White versions of this imported delicacy.

We have not had an extended cheese-drivel thread in quite some time!!!

Remember that scary song by the Zombies, "Cheese not there." But luckily, it was just an April Fool's joke by Robbie.

Of course The Beatles songs were full of cheese:

Here Comes the Swiss.
All You Need is Limberger.
Norwegian Walnut Cheddar.
Baby You're a Romano Man.
Got to Get Yorkshire Blue into My Life.
Lucy in the Sky with Dry Jack.
