I know, been too long, lol. I had tendon reconstruction on my right hand as I had severed the tendon in my ring finger and could not bend it. Basically they took an extra/spare tendon and used it to replace the one that was severed. But, despite some tightness/pain from the scarring, some limited movement, and some nerve damage I can still make some noise behind the kit. :)

I also took a better job in Tulsa Oklahoma, recently saw Mr Robin Trower (who at 70+ still kicks ass!) up here, and I am dying to record drum tracks for anybody needing one or interested in collaborating. Ive sent several to Bart but he has become lazy lol

Hope you have been doing well!

Ray

I understand about surgeries. Been there done that. Seems age lends itself to that. But glad you're on the mend. Gratz on the job. Tulsa is a pretty cool town. Been there once. Took Route 66 from OKC. It's a growing town. Hope you're likin' it there.

The forum has been relatively quiet for many months. Just regulars who stop by to say hi. Occasionally we get some good folk who bought a used G or 1600 looking for answers. As with Bart, my recording has been quite limited. I need to get my butt in gear, just seems I find lots of other things to do. If you talk to Bart, tell him to stop by. Cheers! Ron

Thanks Ron. I did notice that there really hasn't been a lot of music posted. Even Sir Sleepless has been a bit quiet, so I hope all is well with he and his family. I truly enjoyed working on the stuff he would send over.

Good to see you here Razor.

On the subject of collaboration - I get lots of good comments on the song Roll On Down, on which you provided a great brush-shuffle, after i had posted it here, without percussion. Your addition makes the tune work!

I do have a couple of songs in the can, for which i built drum tracks from loops. If you are interested i could send you copies of the songs as they sit, so as to get an idea of how i interpreted the percussion, and then a copy without the drum, to which you could bang away. The song i have in mind is a straight ahead rocker.

Pm me, or reply here and I will send along a file.

Chow

r-head,

good to hear from ya... sorry to hear about your health struggles, but it sounds like you aint backin' down... might have something for you to provide your valuable kit skills... still working on it, though summer is coming to a close and I don't have as much time to work on it-- school starts back up and the chilluns' will be my work priority... and as always, its an unfinished work in progress #-o

anyway, glad your back, and hope ya stick around...

bok

p.s any word from Gary??

Hey Rayzor ! Good to hear from you. Hope your medical problems are wrapped up now. Don't know if you have seen my post 'pictures of the house'. Been very busy this summer. Hope to find some tune time soon. I have been trying to come up with some drum tracks myself but i think i miss the basic understanding of how to build it up. More than some 'boom chah chah boom chah' i can't seem to conjur. The only thing that has helped me a bit is the ipad app called 'drumjam'. Hope to build some tunes in the near future ...

Regards to your team ...

Byron - Glad to hear you are well. Its funny that just this morning, prior to reading your post, I was thinking of Roll On Down. I really enjoyed that song and appreciated the opportunity to add to it. :)

Yes, please shoot me the file to my email address: Raylevitzki@yahoo.com. It would be great if you send me the copies as they sit, and also without the drums, and then I can play with it and we can collaborate to get it to where you want it to be.

Look forward to it!
Thanks man!

Ray

Bok - salutations! I actually heard from Gary this morning and usually several times during the week. He is doing well. He has been pretty busy like most of us and not sure if he is even playing anymore. I have sent him several drum/percussion compositions to mix for me (as I completely suck at it lol) and he hasn't touched them (the doity bastit!!)

Hope you are doing great!!
Ray

I will put together the files and send them to you.

I could do mp3 to your email, or we could exchange larger wav files here on the forum, through the file exchange.

What works best for you - an mp3 or do you prefer to mount the wavs, in order to play and track?

I will have to load the project back into my AW, in order to get the mix without the percussion that exists.

I will be able to send the mp3 with the loop built percussion right away, so i will do that to your yahoo address.
