Just go ahead and sing.
Didn't harm Bob Dylans career.
For me the content is more important.
Enjoy the rest of your day bud.

Punch in until you get what you want.

Assemble from multiple takes.

Take the attitude that Mac suggested above - Don't worry about getting it right - just get it recorded!!

Try and find what key your voice is the most comfortable with. pray that it is not one of the flat keys

If you listen carefully Bob Dylan only sings out of tune when he wants to.

Not sure that applies so much any more cause he is sold old now his voice is shot.

Been a huge fan of Dylan for many years and didn't realise he was good enough to deliberately chant outta tune :D
My point was more of it doesn't really matter if it's out of key or if it's perfect, the content for me is the main thing, and also what you personally get out of the whole writing/performance/recording process in my opinion anyway.

Easy for you to say TMac... you've got pipes and perfect pitch ... =D>

...but I agree; its all about what you get out of it...

Well I wouldn't go as far as "perfect pitch " :D
Actually I've been in bands all my life but always as a guitarist and backing vocalist, never as lead singer and it took a while before I could get used to listening to my own vocal without it being slightly hidden behind guitars etc. then I thought **** it :D
As I used to always say to Dirk, it's all about confidence.
Good luck Bok, enjoy the rest of your day.
