I have recorded vox numerous times and no matter what when it gets to said sec. Silence. I have erased the time in between vox to get rid of some low hiss. So what's the deal?

1) Do you have the "punch in/out" times set?

2) Does it happen on another song?

No I do not. I just delete the entire track then I record vox than I will playback the track and there is nothing lol. . . . When I record and I mess up a line I will go back a couple sec. And hit rec. To re do it. Now here is the weird thing. If I hit stop in the middle of the part where it's not playing it will play. But if I play it from the beginning when it comes to that part it does not play it

This is not a new issue. A search here would reveal a few discussions. I have had the exact same symptoms as you are experiencing.

It seems to be song and track specific, and appears infrequently. It has something to do with the editing process, with regions created by edits and perhaps punchin/undo etc confuse the machine. Some have suggested that it may have something to do with rapid fire instructions (ie working too quickly).

Not sure of the work around if the track is really important - but there are ways to help your data get back on the right track. Ask if this is the case. Other wise, I'd create a new song and move the good tracks to that and re-record the vox. And then work at a steady pace when you edit, avoiding rapid button sequence.

Yes. Had this a few times. Export wavs, make new song, import wavs. Optimize often.
