i press the eject button on my aw16G's CD-R drive. the cd tray, rather than sliding completely out and making removal of the media possible, pops out only about a half inch. i then have to grab it with my fingers and pull it out the rest of the way. it slides out easily with no resistance.
is this normal or am i looking at problems down the road?

Hi,
if U can open/close ok than it is normal. AW uses simple CD drive, not motorized PC type.
Just be cartefull when inserting CD. Don't push it down without suporting tray from bottom with other hand, this plastic can break easily. Happened at my oldest notebook, same type CD drive.

That's the way mine has always worked - no problems.

If i remember my G correctly, when I pressed the eject button on mine, I got a voice command that asked me would i like the tray to open lightly, half way or all the way. Once I replied my response, the G followed my voice and performed the task. Same thing applied to turning on and off the G. A simple voice prompt made turning on and off the G such a breeze. I hate that I sold it. Really I do.

I'm so full of shit, but what the hell business is slow today.

Last time I said "fully open!" it replied: "No coffee??"

Business is not particularly slow over here but I'm bored anyway

I'm always afraid of breaking that tray...it seems pretty flimsy... :(

No, but it is a perfect coffee cup holder.

If you put it exactly in the middle it'll have your coffee spin at 500 rpm. :D

I like sitting on the whole unit... then you get the bonus tickle of all the faders and such.
