Mac,

Look it the first page of this thread if you have not done so already. I am itching to do Heroes by Bowie.

Rayzor can do the drums, I can sing it and play some Alomar/Fripp/Belew dumbed down for Bartman guitar parts.

Tried to get Geno to play some keys on it but he didn't ake the bait....

Whattya say?

Gary

Hey Randy, my Al Stewart cover is completed.....but I'm going to sit on it for a while, in case I decide to tweak it a bit more. But, I'll definitely send it off to you well before the submission cut-off date. I may do a second tune as well for the comp CD, if I get the chance.

i'm still umming and ahhing over what track to do, i have about 5 covers on the go at the moment that may or may not get finished, but i will eventually submit something

also, i found a complete except for vocals 'more than a feeling' by Boston cover i did a year or so back, if someone reckons they can pull off the vox they're welcome to try it - it is recorded a step lower than the original key (said person would have to be comfortable with burning .iso cd images, as that's how i'd deliver it: i upload it onto the 'net, you download it, burn it, load it up, and sing to it) - i could always upload it as a stereo mp3 first so you could try your vox range before downloading the huge juggernaut AW16G version

I was watching a program on television this morning before work. There is a guy who writes and records his own music and has made 2 cd's. He said he averages 140 tracks per song.

All of a sudden, RZ and Jeff Hanson have become track numbers challenged!

Hey, I just read this. OK, that's it. I'm doing Blackbird/Beatles with at least 150 tracks. No one beats me--it's the only aspect of my music I can brag about!

You would need Utah for that.

You're recording it as you learn how to play it, one note at a time?

There's only 3 chords. Now I'm up to 614 tracks. Getting close though. May not make 1000.

My involvement with the Dijonstock Comp CD efforts is over.

I'm passing the torch.
