Based upon the recent "Anybody remember this guy" thread, which has evolved into a virtual lovefest of returning(?) forumites and those who miss them, here's the next logical step for someone who has never met any other forum faithfuls face to face...

How many Dijonstockers(stalkers) have you met in person, and who are they?

1.
2.
3.
.........................................etc etc.... you get the idea...

...and maybe an ancillary question, who would you most like to meet? :salute:

I've only met one. I met pfaut (Tom) at a tent sale my local music store was having a couple of years ago.

My list of who I'd like to meet is so long but our founder (Rob) and my fellow mods are right at the top. Plus people such as RZ, Lys, Basso, Randy etc. that I've had so many dealings with over the years that I feel like I already have met them if that makes any sense.

I met Mr. Bill, who doesn't come around much anymore, in the 6th grade more than 30 years ago. Been good friends ever since.

Other than that, nobody in person. Read Bob's post for my reply as well. I feel like I could walk into a room with a lot of people in this forum and just pick right up where we left off today. I wouldn't feel like I was "meeting" anyone new.

17. The Daughter of Darkness - Dijon and Nice
18. Wheely - Oosterhout

20. Mrs. MicEater ;-) - Dijon

As for your second question: that list would be so long. At the top are the American mods. We've been working together for over three years now on a more or less daily basis. Our job was not always easy. Despite our "collegue-ship" I never talked to any of them live. Not even a phonecall. I don't even know what their voices sound like!

But there are so many more I hope to meet someday. What I would like to do is cross the Atlantic and rent a car for a couple of weeks. So many things to see, so many things to do, so many people to share the cheese.

Ooh, that reminds. I did talk to Geno once but I doubt he even remembers. When he was real sick last year I had been in pretty constant contact with Sharon concerning Geno's status. The man himself did call me one day but he was loaded up on a bunch of meds. The words themselves didn't mean much but the gesture touched me immensely. :)

SirN lived only a couple of miles away from you, Chuck, but he moved, didn't he?

Robbie: they are 'Merican so I know from the movies they sound like John Wayne =D> Just as Drum & Sleepless sound like Hugh Grant and Tudan sound like Sean Connery. The Dochter like Rab C Nesbitt (google images lads and lassies) and you sound just like Ruud Gullit. Michel sounds like anything he feels like - master of accents

I cannae wait to get to America!

I had the honor of meeting RZ & his lovely wife, Natalie, in person.

I spent two enjoyable days and nights at their home in Memphis.

How they managed to endure my presence is anyone's guess.

He still lives in the area somewhere. He was supposed to have a beer with me and Jim Cobb but didn't make it. You remember Jim? I cannot remember his handle on the forum. But he plays bass in a band called The FBI Band - http://fbi-band.com. Great guy from England. We went to a bar just a couple of blocks from where I live and when we walked in, everyone knew Jim. Bartenders, waitresses, customers...freakin' English people with a personality.

I recently learned that Joel resides less than a 10 mile drive from my house. We haven't hooked up yet. He works a graveyard shift. We'll connect sooner or later. Hey! This could be the beginning of Connecticut Stock! :D
