Nope I'm not selling mine. But if you are thinking about upgrading or adding an AW2400 to your studio, here are two well priced ones on ebay. Going to take some watching since there is 4 days left on both, but if no one bids it's a steal.

Aw2400 - 1

Aw2400 - 2

Hi RZ, how you doing.
Out of interest, do you know if there is much difference in sound quality between the 2400 & 1600?
Thanks.

Not a lot of difference. It is said that the pre amps on the 2400 were improved, but I don't think there is much significant difference really. There are a couple of things that could make the product from the 2400 superior.

- two extra effect busses
- four aux outs, not shared with the "stereo outs" (as on the 1600)
- ability to record at both 44.1 or 48 sample rates.
- longer faders - more accurate
- auto mix - so scene changes can be morphed, rather than instantaneous as on 1600
- 0ne slot for addition of I/0 or effects cards (y96k card with Waves Plugins, if you can find one)
- choice of EQ algorithm - type two EQ on the tracks - a bit "smoother" - you can hear the difference.

These are the main differences that could help develop your mix to a superior level.

I am glad I bought mine, and look forward to many years of regular use. The 2400 seems very durable, as does the 1600.

Both of those sold for very good prices for the buyer.

Had both on my eBay "watch list". I was on the fence about bidding in the final hours, but controlled the urge. :) Not using my 1600 that much these days anyway.

I can't say the sound quality is better or worse. For me it was all about the extra tracks, more xlr inputs, more fx, the automation, and hey if I never use it again, it sure looks damn good in my studio.

surely you will use it again!!! Write a song about your dog. How is the little guy doing??

I forgot about the extra xlr inputs (compared to the G). I didn't buy a G for that reason, but have come to realize I could have coped with that. It is the USB on the 1600 and 2400 that is the truly distinguishing feature, in comparison to the G, IMO
