Guys,

We're testing radio G for live broadcast.

Tune in to hear our actions. And odd conversations.

Robbie:
The radio G site looks good. I can't get past the first page though or hear any music. I have a pretty slow computer out here in Eureka, maybe that's the problem.

Radio G indeed looks cool doesn't it? Too bad I've never been able to hear it. Not for lack of trying. First it was, maybe it's your browser (IE). So I downloaded Mozilla. No luck. Maybe it's your Norton's Security or your Java script settings or blah blah blah. These were suggestions from LIVE365 not Pete. My feeling is, I bought a computer, I pay for internet access, why the hell don't you program your shit to work on my computer?
Oh frustration. No problem really, I just want stuff to work.

Chuck, Do you have dial-up access? I couldn't get Radio G when I did. That was one(of the many) reasons I switched to cable modem. I'm spoiled now! :)

Steel dude,
Yep I have dialup. Dialup sucks. I once had DSL. Moved and DSL is no longer available to me. Cable may be the way to go.

Hey Chuck,

I have a fast (3mbps) DSL connection, and still had trouble getting Radio G to work on any of my PCs. But on Tuesday of this week, I inherited a 4-year-old Mac G4 running at a modest 400mhz, and Radio G works beautifully in the default player (RealPlayer). I've also loaded in a free copy of Emagic's Logic Fun, and what a difference in speed and ease-of-use compared to PC sequencers I've tried. Zero latency in the sequencer section!!! Even on our fastest 2GHz PC I've always had an annoying delay (around 300-400 ms!) between the time I press a key on my synth, see an indicator that the message has been received, and then the sound is played back by the synth.

The Mac OS I'm using - 9.2 - is so much like that of my dearly-beloved dead Atari 1040ST, I'm getting around pretty well already.

I LOVE MY MAC!!! :love10:

I'm looking into buying a MAC. That's all there is to it.

I thought SirN was having problems getting Radio G on his Mac (or was that the chatroom?). Anyhoo, I have a cable connection to my PC and I get Radio G just fine.
