Hi,

here a first short report:

After a traffic disaster Robbie appeared safe at my home after a 7 hours trip. 8)

Oh, we rocked the audience, had a lot of fun, enough cheese and too less sleep.

Robbie and I had a very special performance.   You will see that on some pictures I will post them later afternoon, and you will recognize that special performance, if you take a serious view on the pictures.

Robbie played the bass more than the one set we planned before. He is a so amazing bass player and I could read in his face that he was feeling really well when playing with us!!! So I switched to harp and dobro (or visited our naked groupies)

At 13:30 Robbie left my home with a well filled stomach. Have a safe trip home, my friend.

Andreas

On my way to Hamelin, traffic was a disaster. I wanted to go to Utrecht, Amersfoort, Apeldoorn, but the road to Amersfoort turned out to be blocked so I had to go straight to Hilversum, as had all the others have to do. So, traffic jam. Then, finally, things started moving but later it was bad again, another half hour or so gone. Then, in Germany, I had periods of 20 minutes that took me a staggering 400 meters... and what seemed to be the case... two lanes went into one, and another few miles with pylons blocking one lane. No road workers, no machinery, no people, no trace of any work already done... nothing. I felt like killing someone, it took me another hour (and thousands of other people too) for... nothing. A set of pylons. Grrr..

The way back was better. No traffic jam, just a few stretches of a couple of kilometers where the limit was 60 km/h because of narrow lanes. In between there were stretches where there was no speed limit... 170 km/h on the GPS. For like one kilometer

I came home and the children had prepared a welcome for their daddy: garlands, a poster saying "welcome home daddy", I got a king's crown and the children sang a self made song for me... I felt like captain Von Trapp  ... not only are my children very welcome in my life, but I also feel so immensely welcome in theirs... 8) 8) 8) I must be doing something good (but I don't know what it is)...
