wish I was there. The deep freeze is setting in here. 180 km - should take about an hour at the speeds you quoted in earlier posts - be safe !!!!

So much for the diet. I think the music is all a big front for eating. I sure miss a good German beer. Have one for me.

Hi again,

its 9 o clock in the morning and after a few (too less) hours of sleep I am preparing breakfast now.
Robbie is an absolut smart and modest guy. A pleasure to meet him. After the jam session we talked a lot until 2 o clock the night and all the time we had some :cheese2: :cheese1: .

After my band opened the session with 2 songs, Robbie took over the bass part for the whole evening and man, he a really great bass player. Amazing ... . Hope the pictures shows that we had a lot of fun jamming a lot of different stuff.
So sorry, he cant appear next thursday for the next band rehersal!

Today we will take a walk to visit my hometown for a little bit of sightseeing.

Ok, time to make the coffee for the cheese and wake him up.
Andreas

Ok, after a breakfast with tired eyes we visited Hameln by rain. Returning home Robbie gets a decent meal and left our house leaving us here with an empty refrigerator  . No, just kidding, its full with tasty cheese from holland!

After having some coffee we do a video clip screaming "dogpile". My wife filmed us stupid boys. Now Robbie is on the road back home and left me with a felling I know him for long years. He also impressed my wife with his friendly and modest aura. Time has been too short, but we will meet again in future ...

Have a good and safe trip my friend :hello2:

Home!

400 kilometers in 3:45, that ain't bad. :D

I had a great great time.

Thank you Andreas and Astrid for taking so good care of me. It was impressive!

The band are a bunch of very nice people. Well, "nice" does not even begin to cover it. I took my el cheapo bass and tried to play along with a number of songs. I really had the feeling the communication while playing was like it's been there for quite some time.

At a certain point I could not help myself and I started playing the basic bass line of Level 42's Love Games. The guys listened for just a few seconds and started playing along, improvising, jamming, turning it into something completely different... that was SO cool!

More to come!
