Hi bok,

You are right, Robbie is tall and slim! Cheese performed his perfect body :D .

BTW: Its no AS73 you see on the pictures, its my beloved AS120. The AS73 is a really good ES-style guitar, but it lacks for the pickups IMO. A pickup change will improve the sound a lot!

Hi Robbie,

we are so happy you have felt comfortable with the 2 days here! You made it easy for us, thank you! So it seems it was worth the long trip for you.

Ok, let me tell you, after 2-3 minutes jamming we changed "Love Games" into a new version of "Midnight train", a song from CCRs guitarist John Fogerty with a funky rhythm and slapping bass. What a different kind of music :P :P :P .
Seems for HamelnStock II we have to listen to some Level 42 songs. Robbie, your slapping is amazing =D> . Robbie has the ability to get the feeling and the needed bassline for a song he dont know very very fast, a really musician =D>

More to come!

Hope so.

Enjoy your amazing family the rest of the weekend and take some hours of sleep

The pictures are great! It sure looks like you guys had a great time playing music, eating cheese and drinking beer.

It's a good thing there wasn't a ceiling fan in that room. Robbie would have gotten a haircut!

That's awesome fellas...jammin makes music great...beer makes the music sound better, and I don't know what the hell cheese does, but I'm sure it's something cool...

A ceiling fan would have chopped my brain off... or what is left of it :)

What cheese does? Makes you thirsty.

Hi,

a video from HamelnStock Robbie posted in an other thread.

Its been so funny seeing Harry fighting against his absolute detuned B-String during the solo. Watch the last seconds and you know what I mean.
Next time I left his tuners untouched

Link

BTW: Robbie, you want to post it into this thread? So I have done a copy here!

A video of you guys can never be NOT funny! :)

I put a few tags in it but it's hardly visible. If you click the link right under the video it'll be somewhat bigger and the tags look better.

Just looked at the pictures we made today. Amazing! Ria also saw our DogPile contribution. Her comments: "Stelletje mafkezen!" ... but she couldn't help smiling.

Hey, what a hard comment for our great dogpile contribution. We trained so hard the whole morning to get a serious and decent video clip with a professional audition and your wife comments the result so?

Tell her we gave our best ...

I ve seen your comments in the video. "Hairy Harry"
Nice that the fotos from the town are looking good. Would be a lot better with sunshine.

A fun version of my favorite Don Williams song. Sung in English 8) . Sounded odd to hear the German conversation after the fact. 8)

The only time I can use another language is order dinner out. Taco is pretty easy to remember.

Hi Geno,

conversation was a dry comment: "Hm, seems my guitar is a little bit out of tune ..."

It's not as harsh as your translator probably says.

Yes we had to practice a lot. We wrote the choreography and practiced until the hats sweatted off of our heads. Then a coffcheese break. Work on the timing. 'Nuther break. Next: Shooting time! We had a great camera woman, that helped.

Thank you guys. I am really proud to play and be friend with such nice guys for so long years. Was not so great performed because of Harrys so much detuned guitar, but that was a funny thing for this song.

Anyone noticed that our drummer can only use one hand and one leg because of his handicap?
He always looks so happy when playing the drums. 8)

I had a great great time.

Thank you Andreas and Astrid for taking so good care of me. It was impressive!

The band are a bunch of very nice people. Well, "nice" does not even begin to cover it. I took my el cheapo bass and tried to play along with a number of songs. I really had the feeling the communication while playing was like it's been there for quite some time.

At a certain point I could not help myself and I started playing the basic bass line of Level 42's Love Games. The guys listened for just a few seconds and started playing along, improvising, jamming, turning it into something completely different... that was SO cool!

More to come!

I'm jealous - but delighted for you guys

I was loving the surrealistic velvet-undergroundesque feel of his solo!
