It's official ! I am on a ten day leave and will be testing the German kitchen of SchenkenZell starting this weekend. I know there's a couple of Germans on this forum. anything special i should try ? A good beer perhaps? I know about knackwurst and sauerkraut. Now's your chance to show off with something special...

Try anything with "Schinken" or "Schnitzel" in it!! Also, "Käse" is a guarantee for success.

Hi fordork,

Robbie is a professional gourmant and his tipps are great.

In this german area "Schwarzwälder Schinken" is great to taste. You must try it! Also the beer is not really bad at all. Try to find a "Brauhaus", so are pubs called in germany that are brewing their own beer.

If you will ever travel to Hannover area let me know it!

Have fun and "Guten Appetit"
Andreas

gained a little weight i think. Zwarchwald food has been great ! The scenery however is amazing. You should visit Shiltach. You'd want your house to look like that...
