Lately, I have been going back to gear from the 90's that's recently come down in price and rediscovered some gems that were previously outside my budget.

One of these finds is the Yamaha AG Stomp. For those of you that aren't familiar with the AG Stomp, it's an acoustic stomp box. It basically does microphone modelling. Condenser, and dynamic mics... delays, chorus, reverb...

I plan on recording 2 different guitars - an Epiphone SST Studio and a Parker P-36 with a piezo.

Are there any acoustic guitar afficianados that want to give some sounds samples a listen and let me know what you think?

You made me curious. Yes I'd love to hear some samples.

I checked out that device on Musician's Friend and they had some sound samples. It sounds like a really nice unit. Good reveiws, as well. Currently I am using a Line 6 HD400 I recently purchased, but I have yet to get the sounds I want for my acoustic. I play a Takamine EG334.

I primarily use solid body guitars these days... if you want a good acoustic sound, St. Patrick, I would recommend something like the Fishman Custom Rare Earth Blender. This is a sound hole pickup that doesn't require any guitar modifications. It consists of a magnetic pickup and a microphone.

Again, it's older technology, but sounds great!
