CAD E-100.
I picked one up for $100 on ebay about four years ago... and since then I have never had to struggle to get a good acoustic guitar sound. I even sold my multi-capsule Oktava MC012 because I liked the CAD better... for everything!

I liked it so much, I bought a CAD E-200 a few months later. Both mic's use the same capsule, but you know what... I still like the E-100 better!

I'm not a mic guru. I've never used any high-end mic's, and I've never recorded in a professional room, so... I'm not sure why this one sounds so nice, but it sounds smoother, and more natural than the MXL, Oktava, Audio-Technica, and Shure condensers that I've owned in the past.
It just seems nearly impossible to get a bad sound from this mic, and I never need to EQ it after the fact.

Just my $.02

I have four Cad Trions which I like very well. For Asian mics they seem to be well built .

If it makes your heart sing, worth it's weight in gold :) My vocal mic is a cheap chinese condenser and I love it..

The older CAD Equitek mic's were all made in the U.S. (In Ohio, I believe)

But CAD is now distributing (at least some) mics made overseas and I'm not sure if the Equitek series mic's are still made in the US factory or not.
I guess if the new E-100's are made in china, but use the same capsule and circuit design, they should sound just as good (at least in theory) right?
