My 11 year old daughter has a lava lamp in her bedroom, but I don't have one in my "studio."

Am I a loser?

Yeah, my daughter keeps borrowing my Mercury Rev CDs. She's growing up - she used to borrow my Monkees anthology.

Yours gotta be bigger than hers, JM. Otherwise you will still be a loser and you will have to visit the LLLA.

Well, you've known the truth for 30 years. I guess I was just asking whether my lack of a lava lamp sealed the deal once and for all? :D

Put one on your desk at work. It'll be our little secret.

You qualify for one of those by taking yourself out of the gene pool. For most, that means knocking yourself off so it is usually awarded posthumously. Some manage to take themselves out of the gene pool without joining the choir invisible. This usually involves a significant amount of pain.

Allegedly one guy actually tried to perform the ever running golf joke about the golf course ball washers, slipped and castrated himself.

He qualified for an honorable mention since he did remove himself from poluting the gene pool but painfully lived to tell about it

I suppose it goes without saying that only at Dijonstock can you go from the appreciation of Lava Lamps to the Darwin Awards within four or five posts.
