I went looking for one for my studio about 6 months ago, and I simply couldn't find any for sale here in Ottawa, Canada. I started looking online, and it seemed the only way to get one was via the US.

Then, my neice who is 10.....found me an old lavalamp at a yard sale, and she bought it for a buck. I wasn't sure that it would work, but I plugged it in and let it heat up, and the lava flows perfectly! It's now in the studio, and just yesterday....I fired it up, once again.

No and I need one! My bulb on the old one blew out. It's a real funky type bulb. I'm not sure I'll be able to find a replacement. :dontknow:

I knocked mine over a few months ago when I was rearranging the studio. The bulb shattered into many pieces. Natalie went somewhere and found a replacement. Wasn't the same looking bulb, but it heats up enough to get the lava moving around.

I also got a gift from a friend of a night light lava lamp. Plugs into a socket and I've been through 3 bulbs in about 2 years. Very cute. Looks just like this one:

I don't have one because I don't want one. My being a loser has nothing to do with it. :D

My cousin got me one, not for this Christams but the one before. That New Years Eve I sat listening to music and looked at it all night and drank myself senseless on gin. I woke up with my head in the toilet and a hangover that lasted about three days. Now, I can't turn the lava lamp on because it makes me feel sick once it starts blobbing about
