Every once in a while you stumble across something that is too doggone awesome to pass up. I went music store crawling yesterday to fuel my addiction to guitars. (Actually, I was in recovery, me going into stores is like a recovering alcoholic going into a bar...)

Anyway... I was looking for a travel guitar to travel with me, I liked the less expensive Baby Tailor, but was looking at the $500 model... I was playing and salivating when the sales man came over and showed me the

Greg Bennet TT 61

Solid sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Grover tuners... and sounds great... price tag?

$80

That's not a typo... Came with an excellent gig bag too...!

I probably won't record with it... but I will probably write a lot with it... Look for some new music soon...!

if I were you, I'd go back and buy two more... on line sales are for over $300...!!!

Honestly would if I could. Someone traded it in. That... Was just lucky on my part.

I'm gonna hold you to that promise ...

The guitar looks great. Maybe you could just post a small part of her singing to give us an acoustic idea ?

If you travel a lot and want to bring along a guitar, might I suggest a Martin backpacker. While I'm not a Martin fan (prefer Taylor), there are some interesting deals on ebay.

Here's a video of what the guitar sounds like. I just changed the strings, so they're still stretching, and it slightly goes out of tune midway through the demo... but still a great instrument!

Hi, is that sound through a pick up or using a mic?
Nice and bright, I like it.

The guitar is actually mic'd. It doesn't currently have a puckup in it. If I can find an old Fishman custom rare earth blender system, I may add it....

I guess I didn't read correctly. I see you actually bought the guitar. Sounds very good. It will be a great travel companion.

Sounds really great. Thanks for that ! Congrats on the purchase. I took my LAG Tramontane with me on the plane to Turkeye. We accidently got upgraded to bussines class. What a ride. There was plenty of room for my guitar and my feet and we got drinks and food before anyone else. I could get used to that ... :D

Oh... that just means "I agree" - it's both nice to travel with your guitar AND get the free upgrade!
