Hi folks,

my custom Princeton Clone arrived. Here are some pictures of the new toy

Specs are:
A1164-Layout
Mojo-Cabinet
TAD/Mojo-electronics
Jensen C12Q-Speaker
Bias-Poti

Nothing to compare with the Original Fender Princeton 65RI, that will now go to Ebay.
Sounds larger, no so compressed, no more farty bass when compressed and a amazing tremolo and oustanding reverb. Very nice chrunch sound without effects at moderate levels. Most can be done with the volume poti of the guitar, clean/chrunch a dream. What a difference.

The amp tech who build it for me is a very nice and friendly guy in the 50s who has learned his electronic skills in the 70s in east-germany and is building tube amps as a passion.

Some photos:
What is better than a Princeton?

2 Princetons :D

Glad that you like your new amp, Andreas. Shame about the fender, but you should have no trouble getting rid of it on ebay. Was the Fender made in the US - if so, that is a worry.

Nice to see a blackface - everyone goes for tweed these days ! When do we get to hear it ?

A 10" closed-back Blackheart cab was delivered today - hopefully it will make my dwarf 1/4" amp useable. Just in case, I have also ordered a VHT Special 6 head & cab (6w/3w), which is on it's way. I would have liked to go Fender but they don't make anything good under 10W (tried the champion 600, but the tiny speaker sounds like shit).

blimey - that's nice - I have to admit to being a little jealous.... :)

Would be great to get to hear it...

is that a Jensen ceramic or alnico? my friend has one of the reissues, and I must admit, when I played it I thought it sounded pretty darn good, so your ears must be searching for a particular tone...we call guys like you tube sniffers around hear

did you get away for under the price of a new Princeton RI?

post samples asap

Hi folks,

yes its amp porn ;-)

sounds great out of the box after delivery but after changing some tubes for some old ones I have in spare the amp sounds unbelievable amazing.

bok, Speaker is a Jensen C12Q, a ceramic. And all the tubes I put in are from the 50s/60s. I confess to be a tube sniffer, reverend

Andreas
