Ancient 1u. rack synth. Cheap on e-bay.

Downs...........
only 128 single voice patches
room for another 128 multi's
tiny screen, layers of deep shit under 20 buttons
no encoder to change patches , must use the proper 2 button combination to do so or have Uncle Midi do it.
otherwise cool patches are laden with effects
only 2 outs

Ups................
Wonderful believeable Wurli patches
Kawai card reader. (these are worth more than the synth)
Kawai was among the first to morph patches and some of them are really cool.
All 3 midi connectors
Phones jack.
Bargain pad synth.
A good beginners bread and butter synth.
Kawai's unquestionable build quality.
Did I mention great Wurli patches.

Guess where mine's set on midi channel one ?

I have the K1. I got it when they first came out and used nothing else for sounds for a few years. I still use it today as a controller keyboard. Yes, good stock sounds. Haven't used it for actual synthesis for a few years now, but I intend to again at some point.

It sure is easier to program than a U-220. Has more buttons.

Tiny , I said , tiny screen.

A Rompler is a Rompler what else can we say.

Nope.......hair is behind the ears and down the back. I cut the full beard and left the FuManchu look behind. The pic doesn't show , but the mustache falls to my chest. Been one year since I last shaved.
