Another loss....i grew up listening to ELP and remember seeing them perform live in Philly. Amazing show.

My first exposure to FM radio and a "rock star" that was classically trained... used to lay on my parents couch and listen to ELP on headphones for hours.

I guess we should expect many more moving on to the big stage in the sky in the coming years. Inevitable and sobering.

We might've been at the same show! This has been a miserable year for the old rockers.

ELP was my 1st rock concert ... '78 augusta, maine ... i was 16
can still (vaguely) remember the plush furry stage ... everything was covered in faux fur, floor, cabinets, monitors, keyboards etc ... and out come these guys in long robes that completely floored anyone paying attention ! ... i was hooked into live music ever since

keith was a real rock innovator and brilliant musician ... i recently saw a video where he was "all over" his moog wall of patching .. pretty cool old analog rig

he will be remembered ...
