One of my favorite Tull albums considering it's all one song. I've been working on the beginning guitar part so I've been lurking around youtube for instruction. I fell on to this 3 part video of several musicians from all over the globe who got together via the world wide interweb and did the whole Thick as a Brick album. They pulled it off pretty decent. Check it out if you have roughly 18 minutes.

Generally speaking, I hate prog rock. Except Jethro Tull & Thick as a Brick in particular.

Apart from the lousy sound & clunky off-groove bass playing, this is very impressive. The rotten sound meant that I could not listen all the way through, which is a pity as it looks simpler to play than I had thought.

A labour of love, for sure. Hats off to 'em

Man, you forget how great & unique those guys were.

Here's a clip that I think really captures their essence.

I saw Jethro Tull live, touring that album when it came out. Good show. I've saw them a couple of times back in the 70s.
