Aha! thankyou your right !
hmmm I wonder, I may have to settle with a AW4416
I wonder if the file format is the same as the AW2400 In which I can put the DATA from my AW2400 onto the AW4416 and carry on with my projects ?

You would have to extract the wav files from your 2400 projects. If you don't have a machine that could be problematic There is a program that might be able to do it. Not sure ?? AWExtract. It is around. Maybe on the docs page of this site ?? you would have to check. No promises.

Very happy with it! Exiting and just need the waves card now!
I don't like the inbuilt compressor and like to also use waves maximiser on vocals at times.
This will make my day if I find a waves 96k card.

I will keep my eyes open and send alert if i see one. could be pricey. the wavs bundle is very useful to me. If you have used the maximizer from wavs and still have it on your computer, you can export your AW mix and apply the maximiser as a post production tool.??

By rights the maximizer should be applied after you have a mix with which you are satisfied BEFORE ever hearing it with the maximiser, but i must confess that since I have the card installed, I often mix with the Maximizer in the chain as i work. bad habits are hard to shake. Even if you do that you need to turn it off now and again to have a look at what the meters show about a mix's actual behaviour. If you are looking at meters with the maximizer on and with the output capped below the 0 db (-0.3 suggested in wavs documentation), be aware that the visible meters on the AW are in 3 dB increments. So the meter may go to -3 and tend to hold there. It is very instructive then to look at the stereo track Display on the screen (Track button>>> stereo track) That meter will show up to -1 and you will see if the mix is moving about a bit over the -3 as would displayed on the meters beside the screen. If your mix is holding at the -1 on the Stereo Track display, then you are probably pushing the Maximiser too much.

When you get a card, you will see what i mean
