Well, I sold my MIJ tele...as I found an old strat copy with a 14" radius neck, took it to my guy, it's absolutely the most comfortable neck I've ever played. Anyway, had some $$ left...bought the Eureka.

Need it mostly for my bass..seems I can't get enough "oomph" from the 16G.

Anyone have any thoughts on this thing?? Bought used, paid $230 including shipping.

DId I get burned? Was it a bad impulse buy??? I looked at the ART Gold, and know some of you swear by them, but my feeble mind told me that because the Presonus was soooo much more expensive (retail) that it'd have to be better... [-o<

I can always resell it..and eat a few bucks. #-o

solid state. I did do a lot of research into the multi-task preamp (Joe Meek, etc...) All of the reviews I've read about the Eureka really talk it up like it was the big deal back in '04. Since I can't drop the dime for new stuff, I gotta rely on reviews and finding good deals.

you're right though, a bit of practice and reading the manual (which I'm doin now...) is really going to tell the story. Hope to have it by the weekend...and it's my long weekend so I'll get a few good days of sittin' around and workin it out.

um, unless I start hangin drywall again... decisions decisions...
