is there an adapter to go from USB A type to MIDI? i have a yamaha
keyboard that i want to integrate with my other MIDI gear, but do not
want to use a PC. this keyboard only has the USB A type interface [::] not [----]. no MIDI.

I believe USB and Midi are communications on different levels in the OSI model, Mac. So, either it doesn't exist, or it is something that contains an element of interpretation (by that I mean it's more than just translation).
