It would be nice to get some background info on the tunes present within the loop.

Something like:

MicEater - Lullaby:

One long look is sometimes enough to capture everything for a song. The lyrics were some sort of stream-of-consciousness type of thing, raining down on me within the blink of an eye - the music had to be simple yet effective, as not to fight for attention with the vocals. Yeah, this song is tiring... but that's the whole purpose.

Close your eyes and let this Lullaby take you on a journey.

My offering is called 'Dark is the Shadows' and was prompted by the US governments lack of coherent action dealing with the forgotten poor of the hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans - and it still goes on!!

Can you show me the procedure for putting a direct link to my song in the MP3 player onto this post in this thread. That way if everybody was able to do the same on their posts in this thread the direct link may speed things up for listeners, yes?, no?, just an idea.

OK - I have added a song to the Music selection.
(My Background-(drummer)): Every Tuesday nite (Card Nite) I take myself and my AW1600 to a friends place, where we are plied with Chicken Curry and a few bevvies. We adjourn to the back room where our gear remains set up. I just plug in the 8 mics/DI's into AW16, punch up a few input libraries, pick up my sticks and hit record. The majority of our tunes are Steely Dan, but not entirely. Some Santana, Lee Rit, and anything that someone cares to start playing.

THE SONG: I have added is Peg. It is probably the most complete recording I have at the moment, due to the nature of our "Card Nite", no pressure - just jam. (As you would know, not everyone in the band shares the same passion for recording as we do). Drums, Bass, Keys and rythm guit are all live. I overdubbed the middle guit solo, but retained Diks soloing at the end.
Vocals were done remotely (a copy sent via CD to brother-in-law, dropped onto another multi-track, vocals done, bounced back to another cd, then back onto 2 trks of yammy)

Thanks Rob. We have a lot of fun. Just wish we had enough time to finish all the songs I record!!! I dont have a mixdown room, other than my lounge room at present, so its all done in cans - not as accurate as I would like. What I also like doing is adding real drums to sequences etc. Do you guys send stuff around for this type of thing? Did I detect a hint of Level 42 in the Dijon Air?....gotta love that.

Yes we sometimes send backup files to include other artists on a project. We have an "exchange room" for that (it's in the stickies somewhere).

It can be a lot of fun.

Ayup!! I am new to all this, but I just posted 2 Mp3's. The Quota-Demo, and Quartet-Irish Sherry. Both were done on an old ( the first one in Leicester, England) Aw16G. I have put a bit of information on page 5 of this thread.

Where do you upload songs to the Dijon MP3 player? (URL ? )

These are just snippets from about 6 months ago but they are genuine. The RODE recording came out good considering no sound booth, air conditioning and not knowing what I was doing at the time LOL href="http://happyharry.net/who.can.i.turn.to.mp3">3 takes; 2 spanish guitar and 1 harmonica</a> and here is me trying out my new RODE NT1_A large condensor microphone along with a 12_string guitar <a href="http://happyharry.net/deepest.love.of.all.mp3"></a>

The project studio construction in the RV is coming along, I am just ordering my reference monitors, sub and cables. So I hope to be fiddling around before new years, but I won't get my 01X jacked into LogicPro and a Mac until FEB. I've been saving money all year and am excited, it's almost time. I simply refused to record an album using 01X and Cubase. Too many remote buttons don't work.

I was clearing out some things and found two tracks - both are some of the first things I completed on the G:

1) Playout Music for a 1980s Zombie Film.

This is meant to be like playout music for a 1980s zombie film.

2) Helicopter in Slow-Mo.

This was me messing about with the pads. I think the samples are from the library that came with the G, but I deleted it ages ago so I can't be sure.
