Hi there Robbie!! Yeah, i snuck in the back door. Always like to give a listen to something new when i stop by. Truthfully - i was searching around trying to figure out why in the world i can't seem to get a track to copy to another track. Yes! I even read the manual. LOL Twice! Do you have any idea how many threads come up when one searches for the word "copy" on this forum!? Yikes! Always nice to connect with you. Hope all is well! Keep on rockin'...

You'll figure it out. Or probably already have.

Good One Robbie! That's the exact answer i would have expected from you.
I am more than willing to accept operator error when it comes to the G. That has proven to be the case so many times! But i actually think maybe my copy function really is not working. Seems like a pretty straight forward maneuver. But no go. I have moved on to another song now anyway. But i will try to figure it out one of these days. Or just play the whole part again, right? I feel kinda bad kidnapping Rayzorhead's thread here. So if i get desperate i will send out an S.O.S (in the newbie section LOL!)

I might suggest you make sure the proper virtual track is specified. There are two boxes -- the Track number and the desired virtual. The virtual in the EDIT dialog does not default to the currently chosen virtual. ??? Of course you have to specify the region as well, as i am sure you already know. The virtual box is easily over looked. been there done that!!

Thank you Byron! I am pretty sure i did that. But will double check next time i am back to that song. In terms of the region - i wanted the entire track copied. So i just chose 0000 to the time at the end of the song. Assume that is correct? Funny how many songs i have recorded and never had reason to try the copy feature before this. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Yes your region concept is correct. If you have a lot of markers along the way to the End point, you can try pushing the out button, just below the marker navigation buttons, as the OUT position might well be at the end of the file. ?? And then you can set the B Marker at the end, so you can easily navigate there in the future. When the cursor is in any field on the EDIT display, just press the enter button and the current time will appear in that field. If its been a while. you might have forgotten that time saver... If there is no data in the region you specify by T#, V#, region in/out then an error sign appears citing no data or invalid parameter or some such. Move command works essentially the same way and is sometimes preferable to copy for various purposes.

good to see others using the old technology.!!!

Thanks again Byron! I appreciate the tips. Have gotten distracted this week writing some new songs and have not gotten back to the tune in question yet. But i will definitely let you guys know when/if figure this out. Old school rules! 8)

Good fun, Rayzor. Man, this one made me feel old - I remember playing this at wedding receptions in about 1980.

Do I recall hearing you moved to Louisville some time ago. Both of my kids go to IU in Bloomington, IN. What's that, about 70 miles away or something?
