This will be Studio 4.

I have turned my old flying office into a computer music work area. I've used the advice of going with two video monitors. It's very easy to do and makes pre-production editing and mixdown fast and easy. Final mastering production is still done on the hardware in the other studio.

Total investment ? About the best $500 I've spent on gear in a long time.

Pilot parking only... LOL

Nice setup Geno. I'll probably go in that direction myself in some time. However, being a parttimer and having lost my side job will make that take much more time.

Oh! Thanks for that RTA, used the G's built in tone generator and tuned the house EQ tonight, MUCH better. Excellent tool, just not sure how flattening the pink noise helps? Yes, this really should be in the original thread.

Because I ddn't know what kinda of video card slot I needed , I settled for a USB external VGA video card for the second monitor. It came with software to run both monitors out of Windows Control Panel. It's pretty handy to run Sonar and the excellant software help section on the other screen. I also often put the RTA on one and Sonar on the other as well. The picture shows the Sonar track screen on the right and the console view on the other. Also handy is putting up several soft synths at once with plenty of real estate to "grab" knobs.

Hi Cinda , yes you may. I've saved a small fortune in razor blades the last few months.
