From the "What's New" file...

This updater corrects the problems as which a song size display is unsuitably displayed when an optimization function is performed.

It also contains a one page PDF file describing the new Merge edit function.

Yes, the previous update version OS v1.12 added the new 'MERGE' functionality! The PDF tells you how this new function works and what it will do.

The newest update for now is OS v1.13

NOTE: read all information coming with the updates carefully before you are gonna install the new OS update on your AW1600!!

How do I install the updates?

Has anyone else here elected to install the update?

Thanks for your time...

Update:

Download it, open it & read it.
That's it.
It's very easy.

Thanks to the members of this forum,
I again love the G and the 1600.

It solved my G to 1600 glitches too, the same back-ups restored perfectly!

Oh, Ye of little faith. :)

Hmmm ... this site says v1.13 is still the latest:
http://www.yamahasynth.com/download/aw1600.html

Where'd you get 1.14? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

What was it again - switching the machine on while pressing the utility button? I don't remember, it was something like that.

Yes you hold down the utility button when the Yamaha logo appears. I just checked my (brand new) unit and I also have V1.14. Build date 2007 / 02 / 23.

I just checked mine that I bought 14 months ago and it's also 1.14. Guess I have the latest after all. I'm waiting for the version that automatically does the perfect mix. :)

Does anyone know where I can find a file for my AW1600. Of all the stupid things to do, I've misplaced my CD and can't find the YAMAHA AW1600 REMOTE.XML file anywhere on the Yamaha site. Does anyone have a copy of this? Thank you in advance.

Tony Zee.

Hi Tony,

Welcome to the forum.

Take a look at our documents page: http://docs.dijonstock.com. If there's anything you miss, let me know. Either I have it, or I know someone who does. Hopefully. :)

It's in the AW1600.ZIP file.

Robbie, you might want to put a description for that file (and the RAR) to show they are the remote templates. Also for the 1600USB, that it is the USB driver (although that's a bit more obvious).
