I'm deleting some tracks to fill up some drive space. i have backed up the files i'm deleting but not the ones i'm using-was trying to delete first.

one song the deleting... window has popped up, except there is no movement with that spinning disk item. first song was almost instant but it was only 19mb whereas this is 1GB. I'll leave it for a while but i think i'm going to have to force a reset if it doesn't move in an hour.

Is it likely i'll loose any data doing this? that would be most annoying to loose data through backing up files.

deleting may take a few moments for a large file, but certainly not measured in minutes.

You can't delete the currently selected song - which you probably know.

Not sure about your data _ I have never had this problem. Let us know how it turns out. sounds like you will have to power down and reboot.

If you still have problems, try deleting the song via USB. The AWS folder name will be the same as the name you gave the song on the 1600. Back up the song first via USB!
