I'm enjoying the usb capibility on the aw1600 vs the mountian of cdr's I have from using the awG. (i did switch to cdrw later but mountain remains)

My question: Should/Can I do any housekeeping(deleting files or folders) in the transport folder or should I just copy needed files and paste to pc?

I was thinking if I used this long enough it might get a little confusing in a crowded folder if all the old files remain. But - unsure about unexpected results in deleting files. There are some files there created by prev. owner for example.

*I am only taking about the transport folder - I remember reading to leave all others as is.

Thx. Mark

In the Transport folder, delete away and don't worry about it. It's just like any folder on your PC hard drive. Too much useless stuff in there makes it harder to scroll through the file names to import them. And when you try to export a track, the name is already used. Nuke 'em! :)

Thanks for the reply. I suspected as much but I thought I'd ask before doing damage.

I have reached the point where the transport was too full, and the machine gave me some errant behaviour and / or an error message to indicate a space problem. Can't recall the details.. so it is necessary to tidy up this folder once in a while.
