Hello,
I'm trying to update my new windows 7 computer 64 bit to my aw 1600
I got an address for Yamaha to do this from this forum but the update doesnt seem to exist anymore??? I know I have to be able to do this because this recorder is still being sold?? Right now when I install the original software cd for the 1600 and connect the recoder it isn't being recognized? :cry: Any help would be appreciated.

Machine type: AW1600
Try the link that wnorcott used on this thread when he downloaded the windows 7 64 bit usb/midi driver. I just checked and the link to Yamaha still works fine.

Thanks for the reply Utah,
I have been to the Yamaha site and all I found is the operating system update of
2006. Also I dont think the 64 bit midi update will let my new computer recognize and install the software to allow saving files from the aw1600 to my computer. I'm not sure about that though??
