so i want to add an avatar to my posts ...
most of my pix far exceed the 32kb limit ...
how could i shrink my pix to a lower file size without turning them into a pixilated mess ??

Hiya Mark,

The max dimensions of an avatar is 150 x 150 pixels and the max file size is 32 kB.

You can use something as simple as Paint to process your image. If for any reason it should not work, mail the picture to me and I'll upload it for you.

What you would do is upload the photo to a free site like photobucket. Then you can link the image here. Once uploaded you can right click, select copy image location, on the post select image, in between the HTML code, right click and paste the copied link.

Then I could grab it and resize it.

Yep, that's a good option. Another one would be to attach it to a post in the File Exchange section.
