from the control panel blurb: "Foes are users which will be ignored by default. Posts by these users will not be fully visible. Personal messages from foes are still permitted. Please note that you cannot ignore moderators or administrators."

easiest way to censor yourself is to hide your keyboard, i guess...

As far as I understand, it is not a matter of censoring yourself, it is ignoring some of the things of people you don't like.

Just try and put a couple of people on your foe list and see what happens. And don't forget to remove them again.
