Howdy all,

Happy Ash Wednesday and Peace to all as we enter this new Lenten season.

Just wanted to acknowledge some excellent musicianship by a fellow forum member.

A while back I asked Mac to lay down a bass line for one of my tunes. Now we all know dude can groove down low with the upright, but I gotta tell ya'......Da boy down in Hot Lanta' can rock as well.

I started mixing the tune and gave his line a close listen.....That's some fine 5 string work! Shared it with the drummer and he now wants to re-track HIS part. Holy domino effect Batman!

Now I gotta bring my "A" game to the table and redo guitars in an attempt to keep up with the thunderous one.

It will be a while but I'll share when complete.

Props to ya' Mac-ster!

Gary

I just gotta pipe in here and say I thought your bassline for the "aint no sunshine" collaboration sounded awesome too.

much obliged, guys.

i hope somebody picks up the ball on 'ain't no sunshine' sometime soon.
i haven't been able to nail a decent vocal yet so that part is still up for grabs.
i think drum's drums and guitar are fine enough for this effort. just need vox and keys, then some solo work.

I originally volunteered to do this but I have been working on other projects. I know Michel is interested in doing the vox for this.

I'd like to give my spot to Michel if there are no objections.
