Okay... here's the true test...

I'm inviting a couple of my girlfriends over that CANNOT sing. If you ask either of them, they will tell you that they couldn't carry a tune in a brand new Prada bag. (But... if you would buy one for them they would be very happy...)

The goal is to see if I can do things like add/remove vibrato, correct the pitch, add vocal depth.

My plan is to:

1) Post raw audio
2) Post Melodyne influenced audio
3) Post Antares AVP-1 influenced audio
4) Post TC Helicon Voiceworks influenced audio

I want to see where each one excels.

Anyone have any opinions as to what the outcomes will be? I probaly will end up as well doing a processed by all of the gear together...

I'm accepting requests and opinions.

Cin

I reckon Melodyne will be more clinical than the others, but that it will give the best overall result with the least amount of effort.

I'd say a fully midi-triggered Voiceworks might sound best...

I'm very looking forward to the melodyne though :-)!

Good one - and don't tell us what is what at first.

I like these kind of tests. It is based on what people hear and not on specifications.

My vote is for Melodyne as long as you don't mess with the vibrato and pitch transitions too much.

For me, Melodyne is the most intuitive and natural sounding for core pitch correction.
