I'd like to copy and paste portions of vocals [choruses, for example] to other parts in the song. It's extremely tedious to do so by specifying minutes/seconds/milliseconds for the start and end points. Is there a way of indicating which MEASURES to apply the editing command to? Obviously this assumes everything is sync'ed via MIDI.

Welcome Atlas. Yes it can be done. When you are in edit mode the measure counters are to the right of the time counters. I've copied/erased many things by measure. It works on some types of tunes better than others and, like you said, assumes you're in sync with the metronome.

Bob, thank you sir for the quick reply...it's good to be here!
I don't know how I missed this info in the manual. I'll have to search for it again. It's the main reason I've shyed away from recording other people on the machine...it was so aggravating and error producing to line things up by ear.

Peace

Just jump in and have a go at it. One of the great things about the digital domain is that nothing you do is permanent until you save.

Welcome to the forum Atlas. I finally did some editing using the measure/beat counter recently and it worked a charm.

Handy tip, press "Enter" when in edit mode to set the "positions" (e.g. start-end-destination) to the current position in the song. Saves turning the wheel and getting a blistered finger!
