This is infuriating. Though I've never been impressed with the sound of my voice, I had enough training in my youth and enough experience singing with pro road bands through the years that I know when I'm singing in key...APPARENTLY NOT!!

Throughout the recording process, my vocs are virtually right on...I simply re-take the bits that make me wince, and move on down the line...

Now I get to the mixdown and mastering and burning phase, and the vocals sound "fine" through the AW, but once I throw the disk into my Sony in the livingroom, my singing is all over the place, including off the map...I've ripped a couple of takes into the PC but have no Soundclick or similar account, so I can't "show" you what the end result is doing, but the problem is that when I go back to the drawing board, my vox sound on key again!

Wha's up wid dat?

Any like-minded lament is welcome...

Eric

You're in perfect company.

Robbie has a place here where you can post work. Check out the sticky in the Share topic.

I don't know why they changed it, but for the server name, use nl02.pcextreme.nl. I changed it in the sticky.

Does that hold true for the FTP site as well, Robbie?

With a little (oh come on! He did it all...) help from Robbie, one of the suspect songs is up on the mp3 player. The wavering tones HAVE to be coming from me, but when I listen on my machine even the harmonies sound true...Makes life a bit of a...a...a...tough thing, ya know?

Sorry about that guitar track too...Wanted to use the JM27's but there is so much noise in that basement I wound up going direct via the onboard Ibeam Active...Man, would I like a friendlier recording environment...

Thanks Robbie

Eric
