Notes

Notice the Device number is set to 127 on both units.

In the MMC mode the slave unit will follow the transport commands of the master's transport buttons.

In the MTC mode the slave will follow th master AFTER the master is "armed" to play or record.

I'll post the G and 1600 scrrens later.

I have an AW16G linked to an AW1600. My guess is you'll need one or two midi cables, to make the midi connection. These will connect to the midi in/outs on the back of the machine. Midi out from the Master, to Midi in on the slave. If you need to connect the second midi cable, it would go Midi out from the Slave, to midi in on the Master.

As well, you'll probably need a cable to connect the digital out from the slave to the digital in on the master. I don't know the 4416, so I'm not sure if that's an optical digital cable or not, that you need.

Unfortunately, MrSkyGod will not be able to answer your reply, because he recently passed away. His experience with midi, and contributions in general are greatly missed here, and I know that he would have happily helped you out if he could. Hopefully, someone else has some experience with 4416's and/or linking two recorders and may be able to help you with your questions.

As well, There are a few threads on the forum, regarding linking two recorders.....and you might want to do a search and see if there's any information in those threads, that would be useful for you.

Hopefully, we can help you get up and running!
