I have seen various people use CF cards via an Adaptor on the AW4416, does anyone know of an Adaptor for a Solid State Drive for the AW4416. Does anybody know if it will or wont work. and the reasons.

bump, bump

hello there,

i realize this is an older thread but ... no one answered or gave up a solution

is there a list of component parts that will turn the aw4416 hdd into a solid state drive ?

i would like to try the swap on one of my aw4416 consoles to see how/if it works ...

the ssd drives are readily availiable (ocz vertex 2 60 gig) but i am unsure of the connector ribbon cable ...

who knows what will work ? come on now, somebody has the info ...

i am willing to give it a try and post the results if i know whats needed ...

please

mark

I bought an adapter to use on my AW1600. I bought it based on one of the threads here, but I've never used it. I purchased it at the time because it seemed like a good idea to have one in case I decided to ever use a card instead of a hard drive.

I wish I could help you out, but I don't use the 4416.

Hopefully someone can.
