HELLO,
I RAN INTO AN ISSUE WHICH HAS ME CONFUSED ... MAYBE SOMEONE CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON THE PROBLEM ...
DURING THE "PLAY A BURNED CD THROUGH THE AW4416's CD BURNER" STEP, I WAS ATTEMPTING TO CHECK THE RIGHT SIDE MIX AGAINST THE LEFT SIDE MIX .... I COULD NOT GET ANY CONTROLS TO FUNCTION ... I.E. PAN OR EQ ... MY NEAR FIELD MONITORS DO NOT HAVE A LEFT/RIGHT BALANCE CONTROL SO NO HELP THERE UNLESS I UNPLUG ONE SIDE OF THE SIGNAL ...
IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE ACCESS TO THESE CONTROLS (PAN - EQ ) ? THERE IS NO MENTION OF THIS IN THE REFERENCE MANUAL OR OPERATION GUIDE ...
THANKS
MARK

You may have to put it in a CD player ....

The AW machines upon which I am experienced (G,1600,2400) all act this way when playing a burned CD. Plain Jane playback

Shutting off one monitor would be the workaround.

Does the 4416 have an automix feature, as does the 2400? I know it has the long faders, but are they motorized and automated? If so, listen to the final mix directly from the stereo bus, as it was just before the burn. You would have a balance control on the view screen for the stereo track's signal chain.

mr byron,
the 4416 does have the moving faders ... =D>
the task i was trying to accomplish was checking the final sound mix, per side, thru the aw4416s cd player, after the disc burn session .
i will use the final automix stereo cut for future comparison ... or drop the finished disc into the cd tray on the desktop computer and give a listen there where i can use the balance control ... :)
