I am trying to get pro Tools to control my AW4416? So far, the only thing i am able to do is slave Pro Tools to the AW4416 via MMC. I would like to do it the other way around. I am currently using Pro Tools version 6.8 and the M Audio Audiophile 192 Sound Card. Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

I played around with my AW1600 and Cubase LE, using the "template" file for Cubase on the 1600 CD. Was able to get Cubase to record the AW fader movements and then replay them back to the AW1600 for a mix. Don't know about moving the fader on the PC and having it control the AW, though. Might be possible, but never done it.

Welcome to a most useful forum!

Good luck,

Hi Angelo !!
I know there is a setting to change the 1600 from master to slave, could be the same for the 4416.
How does your M Audio Audiophile 192 Sound Card connect to your 4416, can you transfer 16 separate tracks to your pc,
or is it just the stereo track left and right out?
I use the AW1600 connected to my pc using USB, but I know yours has`nt got a USB?
Although I`m not sure why you would want your software to control your hardware?
Go on put us out of our misery I think there`s a few people on here scratching their heads !! lol
p.s.
Hogtime, I don`t think you can move your 1600 faders from your software, we ain`t got motors like the 4416. :(
Anyway welcome to the forum Angelo.

That's correct. From the outside the faders aren't moving. However, the faders do move in the 1600 internal software (and the screen view) and change the volume on the 1600 "on the fly". :)
