Revvin'

Kevin

Leaven

And any number of additional words that can be deliberately mis-pronounced to accomodate your needs.

Don't forget the ultimate healing powers of neology

OK, this is from memory, so it might be wrong, and probably won't make much sense anyway....

We warmed ourselves,
We calmed ourselves,
We lay there in the shape of spoons
But all too soon, the dream was over
Time to rise and to be wise
The secret seven
la-de-da-de-da-de-da-de-something heaven

How bout

"Bound to fall back down from heaven"

or

"Her name was Jo, and she called me Devon"

Maybe even

"Will they ever want us back in heaven?" (if it was a cheating thing or the like)

Just a couple of thoughts ;-).

Michel

I sort of like the last one Michel, but I was, to be honest, trying to avoid using 'heaven' if possible. That one may work very well though, I'll try it tonight...

Hmmm, Ok, I'll try to make something up without "heaven" ;-).

How about

"but ever since, my heart's been cravin'"

or

"I felt so naked, almost shaven"

or

"I was the ship, she was my haven"

or

"Was so excited, I had to keep on ravin'"

Maybe one of these?

Michel

Pervert! It's all a bit symbolic in a phallic sort of way isn't it?

:D

Only a bit?? It's *totally* filthy mate (in my head anyway)! That's why I like it!

I may have to re-jig the order of things a little if I'm going to use it as, according to the timeline of the song, we're in a supermarket cafe having breakfast at this point...

Hehe, filthy yet clean. Phallic yet spiritual 8) .

When I first wrote it, I considered it squeeky clean... until I reread  .

It's the only one in my rhyming dictionary that hadn't already been offered up. I'd never heard of it, but looked it up in Webster's and there it was.

anything that ends in "______ in" will work. That should narrow it down to about a zillion choices.

Yeah, I thought you thought I made it up. That's why I explained myself. Aparently it's an archaic word meaning dream or vision. Cool word really, and might fit the context of your song, but it doesn't make sense to use words that people have to look up, eh?
