Today i decided that after the current project i'm gonna try making an original piece of music. As a theme i have chosen "the time traveler". I wana see if i can build something based on a general idea.

I hereby challenge all other musicians on this site to do the same. If there are takers we could agree for some moment in the not too far future to upload our composition more or less at the same moment in time to see what we have created.

Anyone interested ?

Interested, yes. But I have another assignment in the drawer that has been waiting for me for too long. Besides... it's COLD in the studio.

Question: do you mean all contributors should choose the same theme (time traveller)? I think it would be a cool idea to share a theme.

I think I may as well participate.

Yes Robbie, The idea is to set a theme. In this case "time traveler". Other than that the participants can use any instrument(s) they like. It can be all instrumental or just a story told by the lyrics in a song. Whatever, just as long as it has something to do with time travel. Let's say there is a new movie called time traveler and we want contributions for the score. So it can be music for a scene or a theme song.

I'm going to use the feature on my 1600, that will transport me to the future. While in the future, I'll burn a copy of the song that I'm going to create for Dirk's project idea, and bring it back with me.

That way, when I return to the present, the song will already be completed.....saving me a lot of time and effort!

Funny, i was thinking the Opposite. I wanted to go to the past and start working on this projects months ago, so it be ready just after the thaught had occured to me. The biggest advantage is, there is no rush.

Hey folks.....I just uploaded my song contribution ( Time Riders ) to the Time Traveler theme, in the file exchange. Oscar has his in there as well.

I'm gonna need a couple more evenings to get it more or less right. Is it ok if i listen to the songs after mine is finished ?
