Your hair is certainly a little unkempt these days(although still typical of your jaunty rakishness), but I can yet see the likeness! I never knew you played bass - is this why you ditched Stuart Zander?

Jamiroquai is a modern funk writer and is probably equally famously known as Jay K.

One day I'll get to America and have a ball.

You're too far away dude!

You gotta come see me in New Mexico, we have some bitchin' single-traks here, including some of our ski areas where you chairlift up and dive-bomb down.

I'm riding a Specialized FSR for offroad right now, whatcha pedalin'?

What's pedaling in New England like?

Words I live by - literally, for biking or kayaking.

I know you now, took a while to make the connection (too many no-helmet days) I asked you about the BOAB handle some time ago.

Skateboard parks and urban? You must be one of those crazy freaks (I mean that in the nicest possible way) I see on "Gravity TV". :headbang:

Way outta my league.

yep tis me.....i was boab on the old site too.....just wanted a new name and thought my ibanez looked tasty. :)

and yes,....Im one of the nuts of the sport.
I started out mellow enough 10 years ago racing xc, one day i saw a dh race happen in Maine while I was on my xc rig,and realized that those riders were actually HAPPY, and not suffereing like slaves climbing mile after mile in the 95 degree new england heat...

So i entered a downhill race on my 22 lb ted wojcik xc rig.....didnt break the bike amazingly enough and got hooked on the adrenaline instantly.

that was 11 years a go.....and 2 collarbones, a shoulder, 3 ribs, an ankle and I now have a set of knees better suited for a 90 year old woman....

2 years ago i was the 2nd place hardtail open state champ in NH.

last year i didnt race as much, behind the fuckin camera all the time.

but dam Ive got some stories.

And now I have a succesful video series also.

good to hear from ya miceater.....and 61, thats awesome that you do lift serviced rides, you know EXCATLY what Im talkin here. :D

61' pm me your address and Ill send ya a copy of the race dvd I did last year.

That really is amazing enough  ! DH on a XC bike  ! Damned, you sure gots 'dem ballz, I tells ya  !!!

I was riding in the swiss pro snowboard series for 4 years when I was between 17 and 21yrs old. Giant slalom as well as slalom, but lost the fighting spirit after breaking my hip  .

Extreme sports are just great... though DH biking is way beyond GS snowboarding  !

Man, it's a small world.

When I went to school in Ann Arbor I lost it on Lake St. Claire doing about 80 MPH on a three cyl. Massey Ferguson. Haven't been on a snowmobile since.

I used to ski, but a broken femur cured me of that. Never learned to board, but they do make it look like fun don't they?

I was road biking up to Sandia Crest one day, when I got to the top with my quads screaming I saw some DH'ers headed down the ski run having a blast and when I saw how they were getting back up - that was it for me!

Now yer talkin'!

Pictures please. And nae excuses as you mentioned above you have to do camera work

Harley: one of those genuinely iconic American arts - and there is no doubt that it is art - that so seduced me when I first took an interest in the country.

As cool as a Les Paul on wheels.

ahhhhhhhhh Motorcycles.......I'll have to post a few pics of mine. A 40's style Indian replica I built and my vintage turbocharged CX650 Honda. (one of only 1700 built) "Injection is nice , but I'd rather be blown" I've owned numerous Harleys over the years but , I just couldn't deal with having to fix them all the time. But.........they are as American as it gets. Right up there with a 40's classic American hot rod. (got one of them too) .

I love this country. Only on America! Home of the brave and horsepower!
