Elvis really is dead! I know it's true because I tried to revive him tonight and in spite of all my efforts to revive Elvis.....he's just plain dead. It didn't matter how many fresh batteries I put into his butt. He was just plain dead and there was nothing I could do about it. I'm gonna miss the swinging of his legs and hips, but I just have to accept the fact that his ticker finally gave out. That's just the way the way it is with clocks. Bummer.

The Elvis clock that RZ gave me in 2004 died today but it's gonna stay right where it has been for the past nine years. That Elvis clock has daily reminded me that I was very fortunate indeed to have met RZ (and Natalie) in real life.

Well, I've read a couple of biographies about Elvis and all the prescription drugs that he shoved into his face but batteries in the butt is a new one to me. I didn't realize quite how depraved he was.

Still, I guess it explains all the twitching...
