I saw that some time ago, so I bought a 6V battery. Put it on the weight scale. I don't remember the exact weight but it was about the same as 24 AA batteries. Not 32. I still have the battery so now you got me all curious. Hm I'll open it up when we're back home.

These are "heavy duty" batteries. That is a zinc-carbon cell that only has a third of the capacity of an alkaline cell. Besides, 50 pieces for $10 is what you get at Ikea and then it is an alkaline. So, 50 zinc-carbon cells for $10 is a ripoff.
